And i have a “problem” – as you can see in the title.
I have the latest Traktor Pro 2.6.5 and some hardware to work with, but the main problem is: how can i stream to a shoutcast-server without strange software-chains or using a booth out / record out.
I have 2 ways to stream right now:
1: Traktor Pro > local Icecast server > Stream Transcoder V3.
Problem: Not stable, ID3-Tags dont work, there are no updates, the Stream Transcoder is outdated and oddsocks (original website) was closed years ago. Its not the best way, but the only way how i can setup a pure software audio routing with windows.
2: Hardware routing: Using booth out on my controller or record out on my audio interface, route this into my built in soundcard and use 3rd party tools like EdCast to stream the audio.
Problem: No ID3-Tags, additional cables, additional software and i have to use the built in soundcard or a second PC/Laptop for streaming.
There is an option to change the metadata in the EdCast tool, but i want to mix and enjoy it and dont type ID3-Tags manually….
So i`m searching for an easy way to stream to shoutcast with metadata and it should be 100% stable.
Switching the Software to VDJ or Mixxx (both are capable of streaming directly to Shoutcast) is not an option.
The main goal is to use the same setup for streaming & clubgigs without changing settings and hardware.
I dont know why NI doesnt add a shoutcast support, it will be easy (most of the needed code is already there and is used for Icecast) and they should realise that 80-90% online stations use a shoutcast server.

One way was a local Icecast server, Winamp and Shoutcast-Plugin, but Winamp is dead now and i dont want to use outdated tools without support.
